Ang Lee Told Me So...

The greatest obstacle I have for my education in film is not knowing how much American culture I have to consciously resist in order to keep my Taiwanese style in my future productions. Today at the screening of Ang Lee's latest feature "Lust, Caution" my questions was answered. Today is a milestone for me because of this.
He said, "Don't think about that. The more you think about it, the more troubled you will become. You grew up in Taiwan and what came with that will be with you your whole life no matter what. It will come back to find you. Don't worry." Yes, he gave me confidence to compete head to head with the American filmmakers. If you don't like me calling it a competition, I guess you can also call it a collaboration.
Call each thing by its right name...

I have been thinking for a long time about whether or not to keep using Eddie as my day-to-day name. After watching Into The Wild, I have come to realize that it is very important to keep my own name no matter how inconvenient or hard it is for the Americans to correctly pronounce. In deed, call each thing by its right name.

"WAKE" Music Video
The background music was composed by Linkin Park. Its copyright is of Warner Music Group.
This video is my composition in a video class I was enrolled in in Spring 2007. I spent approximately 7 days planning and shooting. I hope you will enjoy watching it and give me some feedback if possible. Thank you!
